On Wednesday, 9th March 2016, The Pakistan Cricket Board has asked International Cricket Council (ICC) and the BCCI to shift their Twenty20 World Cup match against host team India from Dharamsala on March 19th to some other venue as because of some security concerns. As, the Himachal Pradesh government refused to provide security for the T20 world cup 2016 upcoming biggest clashing match of India Vs Pakistan which was likely to played on the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium at Dharmasala. So, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has said that this match would be scheduled to be played on 19th march, now could be shifted to Kolkata.

India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup Match Venue – The Pakistan government on Wednesday decided not to play the World Twenty20 2016 Super 10 group two matches against Indian team in Dharamsala. With Pakistan cricket board refusing to play in Dharamsala, the Eden Gardens ground in the city of Kolkata is likely to host for the high voltage Twenty 20 World Cup encounter of India Vs Pakistan. Neither the ICC nor the BCCI have confirmed this report but according to BCCI officials, so, Dharamsala’s loss may be Kolkata’s gain as the marquee of India-Pakistan encounter of the ICC T20 World Cup T20 on March 19 which is likely to be shifted to the iconic Eden Gardens Stadium.
