West Indies batting first was able to made just 214 runs in 37.4 overs in a rain affected match against the host Sri-Lanka in the 2nd ODI which is played between the two teams on 4th of November.
West Indies did not have a good start as it lost its first 2 wickets of Andrew Flether and Blackwood on 0 and 9 runs respectively while no. 4 batsman Darron Breuro spent some time in the crease as he made 21 runs from 33 balls opener Johnsonn Charles was the Star performance from the West Indies side as he made 83 runs from 20 balls which include 7 fours and 4 sixes in his innings and new captain muston Samela who is captain instead of Jason Holder who is suffering 7 match made 63 runs from 61 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes.
Sri-Lanka however chasing got a revised target of 223 runs from 37 overs which they chased down on the loss of 2 wickets as opener Kusal Pareraz Miscal out a deserving century as he made 99 runs from 92 balls and Lahira Thirinamor also support as he also made a glorius 81 from 95 balls with 5 fours and a six and were not out till the end with Dinesh Chandimal who made 15 runs and helpful Sri-Lanka to read the required target easily. the Sri-Lanka team is now 2-0 ahead of West Indies just gave remaining they will be hoping for a clean sweep in the ODI series by winning the next test match.
