The day 2 of test match b/w England and Pakistan was again dominated by Pakistani batsman Shoib Malik as he made he is first double hundred in test matches. Shoaib Malik scored 245 runs from 420 balls his Innings include 24 boundaries and 4 massive sixes while Asad Shafiq also made century.
He made 107 from 218 balls which include 10 fours
Pakistani captain Misbah-ul-haq declared the Pakistani innings at the total of 523 runs. Where Wahab Riaz was the not out batsman.

From the part of England bowling it was a poor performance from both the spear heads James Anderson and Stuart Boards as they connectively took just 3 wickets for which they bowled 43 overs. Both the spinners Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali were wicket less even though they bowled 34 and 30 overs respectively. Rashid was however expensive as he gave away 163 runs.

Ben Stroks was the pick of the bowlers from the England side as he took 4 wickets including the wickets of Shoib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez. Replying to the Pakistani total of 523 runs England started off well as both the openers Alastair Cook and Moeen Ali gave England a steady start and remained not out till the end of the day and helped England reach a total of 56 runs from 21 overs.
