The First Day of the First test match between Pakistan and England was all pakitans way as they are in a strong position to take a strong 1st innings lead and is ahead of England as they made 286 runs at the loss of 4 wickets.
Pakistan Didn’t Start off well as it lost its first wicket quite early in the form of Shan Masood in the 3rd over when he was on 2 runs from 6 balls before he was Bowled by a brilliant delivery from James Anderson. But the Opener Mohammad Haffez and Shoaib Malik took the responsiblity and stiched a 168 runs partnership. Unfortunately Mohammad hafeez missed out a deserving century as he was out on 98 from 170 balls including 13 fours but he missed out just 2 runs from his century.

Shoaib Malik who was selected as a 16th men in the pakistani Squad was the star performer of the day as he made 124 runs from 230 balls which includes 14 fours. He is still Not Out and batting in the middle out there with Asad Shafiq wh is on 11 runs from 43 balls.
Younis Khan also made 38 runs from 57 balls and spent some time in the middle while pakistani Captain Misbah ul Haq was out on just 3 runs from 17 balls, he was caught by Jos Butller on James Anderson’s brilliant Delivery. England bowling however was not so special as Anderson got 2 Broad 1 and Ben Strokes got 1 wicket each. Spinners Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali remain wicketless.
