Toss – New Zealand won the toss, and opted to bowl first.

1st innings – Not a kind of batting track any batsmen would like. The bowling spinning far wide, it was expected to see a low total match. The first wicket felt on just 2 ball of the game. The first batting power play cost 33/2 for NZ.

The wicket kept stumbling and New Zealand couldn’t find any reason to face Indian bowlers. At the end of 20 overs, NZ scored 126/7, with Corey Anderson highest run of 34 in 42 balls (3 fours).

2nd innings – With expected to chase easily, NZ had some other plans. All NZ came out against India, made the night difficult for them. India lost top 4 wickets in just 6 overs. At the end of 6 overs, India had a total of 29/4.

With Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni on strike, hopes were on every Indian fan. But, soon India lost Virat Kohli and Indian dream too scattered. Dhoni was at one end of the pitch, but NZ kept taking wickets on other side. With an equation of 52 in 18 balls, Dhoni tried to make big shot, but in this process gave up his wicket and the match. India fall short on 79/10 in 18.1 overs.

New Zealand won the match by 47 runs.
