After losing to India in the opening match of the T20 Asia Cup, Bangladesh made an astonishing come-back by not only winning against UAE, but against Sri Lanka and Pakistan too. Their morals will be lifted winning against crucial final-qualifying match against Pakistan and performing in front of their home crowd.
It wouldn’t be easy for Bangladesh to beat the best T20 team in the World, whose batting and bowling department are in supreme form. It will be interesting to see, how they perform on the deciding day in front of jam-pack home crowd?
Rain Delayed the Match
The pre-innings of the match was disrupted by heavy rains in Mirpur. The rain cost the final to get delayed by 15 over/side. As, each bowler would have to bowl a maximum of 3 overs and power-play of 5 overs per side.

1st Innings: After losing the toss, Bangladesh was expected to put a comfortable score on the board. Bangladesh made an average start with 30 odd runs in the powerplay losing 2 wickets. They stumbled into the middle overs with just 75 runs in 12 overs.
After Bangladesh realizing their condition, they needed a quick fire through in 15 over match. With 3 overs in hands, Mahmudullah made an important contribution of 33 from just 13 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes. Mahmudullah’s contribution provided Bangladesh a good fighting score against the in-form team India.
2nd Innings: With run chase of 121 in 15 overs, India came with a strategy of 8/over required run-rate. On another side, Bangladesh had to take quick wickets, if they had only to win the final. They did well taking the first wicket of in-form Rohit Sharma at 5/1 in the 2nd over. After losing an early wicket, Indian batsmen’s never looked back — played a comfortable knocks by Shikhar Dhawan (60 of 44), Virat Kohli (41* of 28) and Dhoni’s quick fire of 20* in just 6 balls.
