The day 3 of the first test between India and South Africa was not expected to be the last day but yes it was as the test match is won by India.
At the start of day 3 Batting in the third innings of the test India was in quite control and it looked that south Africa will get a target of nearby 300 runs.

India was at once crossed the 160 run mark on the loss of just 2 wickets but then a batting collapse led to an all out of the Indian Team from the test match on just 200 runs Giving a target of 218 to the mighty South Africans.
India then defended the target with a very big come back performance from Ravindra Jadeja who took Five wickets of the proteas and prevented them to reach the target and beat them by a big margin of 106 runs.
His team mate and India’s frontline spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took 3 wickets from the fourth innings while third spinner Amit Mishra however was able to take only one wicket but it was the biggest of all others at it was of South Africa’s trump card AB De Villers.

Mishra claimed De Villiers’s wicket in both innings of the test and took a total of 4 wickets and bowled Economical and at good Areas.
India won the test match by 108 runs and taking a 1-0 lead in the test series which still has 3 games remaining but now has a upper hand both in the series and in the confidence from South Africa.
