Former Australian Captain Ian Chappel said that ICC and the Boards should also cordinate with security issues for the sequirity of players. About a week ago Australia Postponed there Tour to Bangladesh because of Various Security Issues. Chappel also said that it may be a very diffrent case if the series might be against India.
He said that ICC and cricket board can set up a committee, which has a security background. He also said that it will be a very diffrent situation if the tour was of India, it was easy to say no to Bangladesh but the decison can be very difficult to be made in case of a series against India.
The tour was postponed when the Cricket Australia received an information from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade about the security risk to Australian Cricket team in Bangladesh. BCB president Nazmul Hassan assured that Australia would receive “high levels of security” if they come for the tour.
He also talked about the 1996 world cup held in Sri Lanka and where the srilankan government guranteed Australia to given as tight sequirity as they can and also said that they can also fly in in the morning and fly out at the evening but still the Australian Cricket Team refuced it.
