Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) seceratory Saurav Ganguly, said that he very confident about the facilities and drainage system of Eden Gardens. he spoke against all the critisism that Eden Gardens staff faced after the wash out of the third T20 against South Africa. The last T20 of the series was abandoed by the match officials as the outfiel of Eden Gardens was Quite wet.

The match officials that there was no match possible on such wet outfield, However many of the big players too belive that it was not the mistake of the Grownd staff, as it is very difficult to Dry an Outfield specially when there is no sun or heat and specially in cold condition.

He said that a better job can be done in terms of covering the grownd but is fully about the facilities and the drainage system of the Grownd. The 3rd T20 was to be played at the ground but it was delayedbecause of the outfied as it was nearly a 30 minutes of rane came in the afternoon the same day.
He is also confident that the grownd is ready to host the T20 world cup final in 2016. He explained this by saying that the grownd has already hosted the IPL final one of the biggest of matches of the game. He also said that the grownd is hosting matches from past 25 years and 1 or 2 games should not make much diffrence.
